I want to thank everyone who has been so kind and sympathetic to our loss. We’ve been in Kempton for a very short period of time, but everyone has made us feel like we’ve lived here all our lives. You are all so wonderful and kind and I’m honored to call you my friend.

Kempton Christian Church will be having VBS July 23rd-27th from 6-8:30pm. You can pre register your children by calling me at 947-0028 or stopping by the church and filling out a form there. Pre registration is NOT required, but if your child is planning on attending, we would like to know so that we can get an estimated count to adequately plan for snacks and crafts. You can register at the door during VBS. Even though VBS is for kids in preschool through fifth grade, everyone is welcome to come and hang out and watch the fun! We are planning on having a "parents room" for those who are wanting to stay at the church while their child/children participate in VBS. Younger children are also welcome to participate in our preschool program so long as a parent or guardian stays with them and their group. We will be having a program Sunday morning at 10am for all of the kids who participated in VBS followed by a church picnic. Hope to see lots of kids there!

As I have pointed out here before there are some people who take great pleasure in taking out their personal vendattas against the Kempton Town Board is a disgrace. The Board is moving forward in such great strides and yet there are a few that are trying to be stumbling blocks. Why would someone want to be a stumbling block for a Town that is struggling to stay ahead of things and is doing a fine job. Do they not know what this makes them look like? The Board should just give them just a moments notice then move on to more intelligent things on the agenda. I personally liked the new marshal from the moment I met him and I believe he is giving the people time to get to know him before he begins his true law enforcement here. That is a wise decision on his part. I am so glad Mr. Williams decided to stay because he is a great asset to this town. Mrs. Book is coming forward with true leadership now and Mr. Teter truly cares for this town and it's advancement into the future. I see him mowing in the hot sun and would be there in a moments notice if needed by the Kempton Fire Dept. I see the Town, the Kempton Police and the Fire Department moving forward now together as they should be. Our Town will surely grow now. Thank you for our leaders.
